Deep Sea Fishing
Sea Legs III has definitely capitalized on the deep sea fishing market. They have taken advantage of the great resources we have around us. The weather, the multitude of reefs (natural and artificial), as well as the attraction fish have to South Florida is a big reason why deep sea fishing is so great in
If you are a deep sea fisherman you will know that conditions play a vital role in deep sea fishing and being able to fish. For example, fish behave differently as the weather changes, as the currents change, as the barometric pressure changes or even as the moon changes. For the past few weeks the deep sea fishing conditions have been steadily improving, as the weather is starting to heat up, currents are starting to cooperate and fish are responding and becoming ravenous. The seas are calming as well. King fish are steadily showing up. Amber Jacks are hitting lines as if they haven’t eaten all winter. Dolphin or Mahi-Mahi are steadily investigating the boat and the experienced anglers make sure they are ready for them. Of course the night time fishing just keeps getting better and better as well. The Yellow tails and Mutton numbers are steadily improving as the water temperatures rise. Vermillion Snapper season opened April 1st and we have been seeing Vermie sizes that would make any snapper fisherman jealous. Sea Legs III capitalizes on all the deep sea fishing conditions that make you the better deep sea fisherman. We make sure we put you on fish because that’s our business and we want to make sure you come back! Not just for a boat ride but for a deep sea fishing experience of a life time

Deep Sea Fishing or Drift Fishing in South Florida
South Florida is the deep sea fishing capital of the world! We don't have this distinction for any reason. We have an abundance of different species of Snapper, Grouper and Peligics that is the envy of the entire deep sea fishing world! The Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood , Miami waters off our coast is littered with natural and man made reefs teaming with fish. There are a many natural reefs that start just a few yards off our coast. The man made and natural reefs are a breeding ground for microscopic organisms that are food for bait fish, shrimp and plankton. Small fish such as Ballywho, Pinfish, Goggle Eyes, Speedos and others will feed on them. In turn these fish are food for bigger fish such as Peligics, Mutton Snappers, Mangrove Snappers, Giant Groupers and much much more. During our day trips depending on the conditions most of our fisherman prefer drift fishing trips to target giant King Mackeral, Mutton Snapper, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Cobia the Vermillion Snapper and more.
Artificial reefs made up of anything from brick piles, tires, and hundreds of sunken ships intentional and non-intentional. Some ships have been in the South Florida waters for decades and others have been in the Fort Lauderdale Miami oceans for centuries, thus attracting the deep sea fish that are the target of all recreational and proffessional deep sea sport fishing enthusiast alike.
The Sea Legs III night trips will usually anchor on a reef or wreck teaming with Yellowtail Snappers, Mangrove Snappers. Mutton Snappers and a variety of Grouper species that will have your reel screaming!
